Hubby and I will be going out on a date tonight!!! So, in honor of this momentous occasion I thought it would be the perfect time for me to share with everyone some tips on having a fantastic night with your loved one without breaking the bank.
Ask a friend to watch the kids:
I would say that this one is the most crucial. Highering a baby sitter or taking the kids to a nursery could cost you loads, even more than the cost of dinner and a movie. This is where being social becomes really handy. If you’re in the military, get involved in your FRG group and if you’re religious then get involved in your church. This doesn’t just mean go to church and leave…you may never really get to know people at your church this way. Getting involved at church means attending a home group or becoming a part of your worship team.
We’re involved with one of the Home Groups at our church,and its been a wonderful blessing for us. There are so many people at our group who have volunteered to watch our kids for us or help us in any way we need. One of our friends from this group is the one who will be taking care of the kids for us while we get away together. If there had been no one available from church then there are others from our FRG group I know I could probably ask for help.

If you don’t know what Groupon is yet then you’re totally missing out! This is kind of like a coupon, but it’s for restaurants, museums, hair care, spas…you name it and you can pretty much get it for at least half off the full price. Every day there is a new deal in your area of choice that you can either get or pass on.

Since we’re new to the area this was a fantastic way to find out about a good place to go for getting my hair done and since Groupon is excellent at choosing places that will be satisfying to their customers then I didn’t have to worry about going to a place that was going to butcher my hair.

Create a romantic atmosphere at home:
As I have shared with everyone before, there was a time when even spending only $2 to do anything was way too much money for us. If this is the case for you then dine in at home. Nothing says that you have to leave your home in order to have an awesome night. There have been many nights in which we brought out the candles and cooked up a lovely dinner plus desert with some drinks. Some of those nights were the most romantic of all that no restaurant could copy. Ladies, you could even surprise your man by dressing into some sexy lingerie and do a little role playing. Make it fun!!!
