The Dreaded Purging
I gotta admit, I wasn’t so thrilled with doing this part. I drug my feet for days thinking about how much I hated purging and didn’t want to get started because of it.
When I finally did get started I realized that because of all the work I’d already done previously with my taxes, medical binders, & important documents, I’d already cleared out quite a bit from my filing cabinet. This meant that I didn’t have as much to go through.
Trashing What I No Longer Needed
I found a lot of files that I meant to use and never did or I no longer use:
I have a recipe binder! Obviously I don’t need a file for recipes!!!
So I took those files out and stored them to be reused some other time in the future. And all the papers that were old and I no longer needed I trashed.
I ended up having a lot of fun with this because I found a lot of photos I’d “lost”…
I’ll definitely be hanging these on my walls.
I also found some of hubby’s military cirtificates:
As a bonus, I found the pattern to the feminine cloth pads I’ve been wanting to make that was stuffed underneath my files.
We did it! We got through this week’s paper safely. Don’t you feel so much lighter?! So lets start the party, shall we???
What treasures did you find in your paper this week?
