So Lets Get Started With The Manuals
I loved this week’s organizing projects because I got to decorate some bins in the process. Plus our manuals were scattered all over the house, so it was really nice to get them into one contained and organized spot.
I had some in a cabinet in a box.
Some in another cabinet
I even had some on one of my very messy countertops (gasp!).
So I gathered all the manuals in my house that I could find into one spot where I had lots of room to work on sorting and organizing them. I also remembered that I had a plastic drawer that wasn’t being used similar to this one:
Since I couldn’t help myself but make it pretty, I went out and bought some cute black and white zebra print duck tape, black and pink zebra print duck tape, and pink and black ribbon:
Then I printed up some cute labels and grabbed my trusty glue gun:
Then I glued the labels onto the bin based on where I wanted my warranties and manuals to be:
Then I tied the bows:
And glued them to the drawers:
I took the pic while it was up on my bookshelf to see how I would like it the way it was. Since I wasn’t satisfied with it I added the duct tape…
I laid the black and white zebra print duck tape down into the middle of the top part of the bin and then added the pink to the outside so it looked like a frame:
Then I added the pink and black zebra print duck tape to the white parts that were exposed on the sides and in the front:
Isn’t it ADORABLE?!?!? And of course my thinking is that if it’s pretty, I’ll be less afraid to keep these manuals organized. I just love looking at this cute bin ;).
Manuals of the Military
While I was going through all our regular day-to-day manuals I found a TON of military manuals. So I used a separate drawer just for them:
And, of course, me being me, I had to decorate it. While I was shopping for girlie duck tape I found some military digital duck tape. Feast your eyes on this stuff:
Here’s how it turned out:
Hubby was positively thrilled with the way it turned out.
