Hi everyone!!! I really missed you all! But it was wonderful to be able to take a break and re-energize. Now I’m really excited to show you all of the ideas I have for this blog, but first I want to share with you the memories that were made at my home on the island of Maui:
Hubby and I got some much needed time to ourselves while my parents watched the kids for us. We got to go on 2 dates in one week! That’s an Eiklor record!!!
We went exploring around the island…
And even found some beautiful and peaceful places I’d never seen before!
I met up with some friends I hadn’t seen in YEARS! This is a friend I went to high school with and only recently reconnected with after not seeing her since my wedding nearly 8 years ago.
But the best part of our trip, and the main reason we went to hawaii, was our Shim Family Reunion:
We had a day on the beach and it was soooo much fun playing with all the cousins, catching up with the Aunties and uncles, and watching everyone entertain each other (and in some cases make fools of themselves, LOL!)
As you can see I’m rockin’ the sun!
And so is the rest of the family. We’re all pasty white compared to the rest of the Shim Ohana, EEK!!!
These are the patriarchs. Too bad our Grandpa Henry is gone
This is the family on Grandpa Henry’s Side, where we come from.
My mom was the mastermind behind the entire reunion, and she ROCKED it! Thank you so much mom, aunty Maile, Amanda, and everyone else who made our reunion possible!
This trip reminded me of the importance of Ohana and just how much I really miss home. If you have a reunion story to share then feel free to link it up in the comments below!
