I apologize for getting this month’s financial goals up so late, but it really couldn’t be helped.  Better late than never is my favorite saying for something like this ;) .

We are doing quite well since last month!  I am very pleased with our progress so far.  Here is what we had last month:

  1. Pay Mommy’s Medical: $3451
  2. Save to go to family reunion held in Hawaii: $$2800
  3. Save up $10,000 as a down payment for an investment property.
  4. Pay off Car Debt: $15,000 left
  5. Save 3-6 months worth of income: $21,000

Here’s where we’re at now:

  1. Pay Mommy’s Medical: $3451: We have $1391 left
  2. Save to go to family reunion held in Hawaii: $2800
  3. Pay off Car Debt: $15,000 left
  4. Save 3-6 months worth of income: $21,000

Once again our goals have changed a bit and the reason we have changed it again is because a bomb was recently dropped on us: hubby may be getting medically retired.  I plan on elaborating more on this topic some time down the road.  But basically the med board hubby has been facing has  “scared” us into focusing on what debts need to go away asap.

Our goals may change yet again next month depending upon what happens with hubby.  If he will indeed be getting medically discharged then we will work as fast and as hard as possible to build up as much savings as we can before we find ourselves without a paycheck.  This way we can continue to make our minimum payments on our car and still be able to live off of our savings until we can find him another job.

What are your financial goals?  Would love to hear!
